My aunt's computer downloads at 500KB/s...except antivirus software?

Whenever I try to download AVG or Avast!, it slows to 30KB/s at most, and when the download is complete, the setup program fails to run. I just finished removing all this adware and spyware crap from her computer, but I suspect something is still lurking. Is it OK to just bring the software on a CD to her computer, or should I take some other steps beforehand? Thanks.

have you tried running any other software setup?

if only antivirusues software fails to run, you could have missed something. try doing an online scan

it is normal that downloading AVG or Avast will be a little bit slower because these are popular programs. A lot of people too a downloading it the same time.

Why don't you try to download it from a friends PC, Then burn it on a cd or put it in an USB drive, Then try to install it your PC, or you could try to download it with a different web browser or webpage, there could be many possibilities...Just try and try, until it works...Or use a different Antivirus, I use ClamWin, It's very good and it's Opensource ,TOTALLY FREE

try it

Some viruses block AV installations. Try some other program installations. If they fail your Windows installation might have corrupted. You need a repair. Else put some more details so that we can help you.
you must install quickly " anti virus"

" quick heal is another good one?"
