Is Ophcrack a Virus? My Avast! Home Edition detects it as a Win32 Malware Tool, as well as a Worm/Virus/Trojen. How do I know that it won't screw up Computer?

It detects it because it's generally associated with ''hacker'' tools. It's a password cracker. It won't harm your machine but it is very odd that it is there....hmmmm
