I don't trust just any site, so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas. I use Avast and Spyware Terminator, but I don't think they protect from malware. And I'm going to research everything that people recommend, so don't even try to infect my computer with that fake crap.

They do everything I need them to.

You might just be best to get spybot and adaware, they should detect malware for you.

I have used and recommended ccleaner for years. Works well and has never failed to clean out the junk as well as the registry. You can get it from downloads.com which is a part of CNet. While there try superantispyware. Also does an excellent job, and is also free.
