Keep deleting this file but it comes back every time I restart.?

I downloaded a file which turned out I guess to not be the right thing. Now it's on my desktop. Every time I delete it, it comes back to my desktop when I restart.

I thought it was a virus because it tried to extract something but I stopped it. None of the virus scanners caught it: Norton, Avast, Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy. Not even in safe mode.

I don't know what to do!

AVG makes a free rootkit remover and scan. It is what it sounds like.

Go to www.filehippo.com and look for a rootkit remover.

When the system is clean, make sure to remove all but ONE anti-virus software. They will conflict with each other.
