Administrative account ?

i hear it is dangerous to sure with admin account but i use a name like beavis and butthead , not my real name or anything

also i update my windows as often as i can and i mostly visit

reputable sites, but i hear you can still get websites giving u

viruses through ur browser, there are lots of people who

use administrative account and i use avast which has a web shield and scans websites to see if they have viruses and i

have gotten 1 virus in my life 2 years ago when i used avg and

since then nothing, am i safe and also micorsoft service pack 2 has a dep feature which should try and prevent malicious code for reaching system files. thanks.

If you don't have a password on the adminstrator account, anyone that can see your computer can control it just like they are sitting next to you.

Solution is simple:

1. Create an account with administrative priviledges.

2. Assign a password to the administrator account. (use Help for procedure)

3. Log off and login as the new account you created.

Done!

Create good ID's and passwords. Use your imagination but make sure you remember them.
