I uninstalled mcaffee, but now my windows security center still reports that MCAFFEE FIREWALL and AV

I uninstalled Mcaffee (which came pre-installed on my new DELL) and I installed Avast antivirus instead and am using the windows firewall. If I disable (temporarily, of course) either of these, the windows security center comes up and says MCAFFEE FIREWALL or AV is turned off. Of course, if I enable them again, the message goes away, but why does it still list that they are Mcaffee, even though I removed it?

Try disabling anything that says McAfee in services.msc
