What's better? Kaspersky or AVG?

I've seen alot of controversy between these two, and I was wondering, which one is truly better? Post your answer along with why please..And would they be safe to install side by side? I am wondering because I have AVG, but not Kaspersky, and I was considering installing it on my machine.

Note:

McAfee, Norton, Avast, antiviruses such as those tend to suck. None of them ever caught the viruses that AVG did, so I un-installed them, and I will never re-install them, so don't even bother talking about them..

AVG is crap!

Mostly noobs, the naive, the computer illiterate, and children use AVG Free. These types love AVG because they say it is easy to use and almost never bothers them with any pop-ups or warnings. Of course AVG Free never bothers them, it hardly ever finds any virus to warn them about!
