Do I have a virus?

I no I have a virus and its not being picked up by my anti virus. I use avast-pro. I got an alert to scan but its not picking it up. I have done this in safe mode and not in safe mode. I did a boot scan as well. I have all the security I need spyware, firewall, window washer ect. They are all updated. When I did the boot scan there was 1 file that came up that would not allow access and I think that this is the virus. Am I wrong. I can't find anything on the internet. here's the error

FileC:\hiberfil.sysErrorOxc0000022

Do I have a virus?free antivirus

Quick Answer: Probably not. That is a windows file that is locked, at times. Its Function is used whenever the computer goes into hibernation (although, I have yet to see someone actually use that function personally). So when the Anti Virus software is attempting to access that file and determine if it has a virus, Windows is saying: No, Bad antivirus software, you may not have access to this file.

So if You do not use hibernation, You may disable it, by the following actions and restart your virus check:

right-click on the Desktop, choose Properties. Click the Screensaver tab, then the Power button. Now click the Hibernate tab, and uncheck "Enable Hibernation".

If you do use Hibernation, still turn it off; restart the virus scan. And if it does not detect anything, reenable hibernation.
